“curious movement”
So this little blog is not only a place where we bring you news and stories about the body, mind, technology, and music. It is also a place to share the music that we create on our tiny instruments. Here is the first track I created with ableton and my korg kaosillator and kaoss pad 3. I also used my meinl bongo cajone for acoustic drum sounds. This is just a small hint of what is to come in the future.
This is not technically a tiny instruments production, as John is not sonically represented. I created this project as an assignment for a writing class at DePauw University, taught by professor Chris White. Our assignment was to record or perform a song or piece with a musical component, but since this was a writing class, our main focus was on the written words in our piece. In other words, we had to write a poem and read it to a beat or use it as the lyrics in a song. Let me know what you think of this rough cut, along with any suggestions you may have for how to improve it. Also, the song is available for download from soundcloud, if you are so inclined.
